Just like Black Girl Magic, there's something to be said for the power of Black women's friendship. Just ask Carmen, Regina and Jewell, protagonists of Better Than I Know Myself, a feature film adaptation of the Essence best-selling novel written by real-life best friends Virginia DeBarry and Donna Grant. Maintaining sisterhood won't be easy, however, for stubbornly self-sufficient Carmen, former child star in search of a new identity, Jewell, or Regina, for whom life is as constant party. Not with all the secrets between them…and the fact that one of them won't survive.
